Gr8 Sci - 03 group: classwork

Students set a date for a quiz on Simple Machines for Wednesday, 6th May.

Students finished their Lever lab this class and handed in the writeup.

We will begin Motion Transmission & Transformation next class.

Gr8 Sci - 04 group: classwork

Students wrote a quiz on Energy & Energy Transformations.

Students then began a Lever Lab to learn about this Simple Machine.

The lab will continue next class.

Gr 8 Sci - 03 group: classwork

Students wrote a quiz on Energy & Energy Transformations.

We next corrected workbook questions 1 ,  2 ,  3  &  5 on pages 233 - 235.

Then we began our lever lab.

We will finish the lab next class: Thursday, 30th May, first period.

Gr7 Sci - 03 & 04 groups: classwork

Students wrote a quiz on Layers of the Earth and Atmosphere.

Students took or finished notes on Earthquakes.

Students began work on questions 1 to 3 on page 190 in their workbook.

Gr8 Sci - 04 group: classwork and QUIZ!

Students were given an Energy Transformation Assignment in class today to wrap up our study of Energy and Energy Transformations.  The seatwork had been completed last class.

We set a QUIZ date for next class:  Wednesday, 29th April 2nd period on the above topic.

Students then took notes on Simple Machines.

Seatwork was assigned:  pages 233 - 235, questions 1 ,  2 ,  3  &  6.

I recommend students work on the Simple Machines seatwork, then do the Energy Transformations Assignment over Monday and Tuesday night as study for the quiz on Wednesday.

Gr7 - 03 group: classwork

Students collected their partially completed Atmosphere Foldable Assignment from class today.  It is to be taken home and completed.  They are to be handed in next class:  Tuesday, 28th Apr.

Students will write a quiz on Layers of the Earth & Tectonic Plates on Tuesday, 28th Apr. , 2nd period.

After the quiz, we will continue our notes on Earthquakes.

Gr7 Sci - 04 group: classwork

Students picked up their Atmosphere Foldable Assignment to take home and complete. Once complete, they are to hand it in.

Students then reviewed Tectonic Plates and completed workbook questions 1 ,  2 ,  3 ,  5  &  6 on pages 180 - 181.

We corrected this in class.

We then set a date for a quiz next class:  Tuesday, 28th Apr. , first period.  The topic is Layers of the Earth and Plate Tectonics.

After the quiz, we will move onto a new topic.
